Summer Art Market

My first art festival is now behind me, and it went really well. I had a great time visiting with people about my art and about hiking in the Southwestern United States and the Grand Canyon. My daughter baked fresh cookies on Friday and Saturday night to put out each day which were a huge hit with visitors, especially the children who left my booth with big smiles on their faces. It was a beautiful weekend supporting the Art Students League of Denver. ASLD offers over 630 programs/workshops/classes and camps to students of all abilities, socio economics and ages 6 – 92 years, taught by their faculty of professional artists. I feel the creativity whenever I walk through the door. I have personally taken a number of the classes and workshops offered at ASLD and have always left learning something new and with a sense of creative rejuvenation and camaraderie. The teen studio night on Friday nights was something my own daughter really enjoyed when she was in high school. It is a place where creative kids can come together to make art and socialize with like-minded teens in a safe environment. I have recommended it to my middle school art students again and again.

I have drawn one name from the email sign up sheet I put out for a free print of Wotan’s Throne Ablaze. Congratulations to Gail Beyers! The print from Fine Art America looks fantastic!. I have several paintings available to purchase as prints at https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/brinda-lane-pumphrey.html and am adding more in the future. My mark up is quite low on prints in order to make them more affordable to those who appreciate my paintings but can’t afford to pay for the materials and time it takes to create original art.
