Peach Snapdragon

Snapdragons are another favorite of mine. I let them go to seed and spread in my gardens so that every year there are more and more. I love the wide variety of colors and the way they reach up like spires decorated by richly colored popcorn blooms. Bees love snapdragons and I enjoy watching them climb and disappear into each individual flower. I plan to make a larger snapdragon painting in the future, possibly with a bee.

My Goal, Plateau Point Trail

Plateau Point is at the end of a 6 mile hike down Bright Angel Trail. I titled it My Goal because I have made the hike to this incredible place three times and hope to again in the future. This painting captures the view from far above where it bekens hikers to make the journey.

The Stars Are Out

As the sun goes down Red Rocks Amphitheater becomes magical with lights shining on the massive rocks that surround the theater on three sides and the Denver city lights below. This painting was inspired by a photo I took at a Switchfoot concert a few years ago. The audience held up their phones while the band played creating the “Stars”. A small study for a larger painting.
